dulcimer, mandolin, violen, piano keyboard
My wife Peggy (Margaret) Guoin, and I began dulcimer lessons in the spring of 2009 and have learned to love it .I have built my own dulcimer out of wood and it looks and plays all right, I am also learning the mandolin, the violen, and the piano keyboard , as of march 2017 I know two songs by heart on all four instruments . I must confess that as of now Peggy is not overjoyed when I practice the violen.
We belong to a group of dulcimer players and while playing for the Richmond Michigan Lions club,Christmas party, we as a group were playing the 70th performance for the group the "River Strings" and to beat all there was my brother Jim and wife Lorraine , turns out that he is the Governor of the lions for that region.
Bernie Hughes had played dulcimer in the south and when she moved to Algognac Mi. she went to the library and asked if there were any dulcimer players in the area, well there were not but Bernie offered to teach the dulcimer at and for the library, now in Jan. 2013 there are 25 players and we are actually getting good at it.
